Emotion Focused Couple and Family Therapy

Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) is a therapeutic approach designed to help couples and families understand and transform their emotional responses in their relationship. By focusing on the underlying emotions that drive interactions, EFT encourages partners to express their feelings and needs more openly. This process fosters deeper emotional connections, enhances communication, and helps couples and families resolve conflicts more effectively. Ultimately, EFCT aims to create a safe for partners to grow together, strengthening their bond and improving their overall relationship satisfaction.
